Policy Statement
Rhodes University is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all staff, students, mandataries (agents, contractors or subcontractors) and visitors in its working environment. All members of the University community are required to regard safe work practices and prevention of accidents and occupational illness as a collective and individual responsibility. Managers and Heads of Departments have a duty to provide and maintain, as far as is reasonably practicable, a working environment that is safe and without risk to health.
