E-books, theses and dissertations
This training session will equip participants with the skills to confidently navigate and make the most of the Rhodes University Library’s extensive digital resources. You will learn:
- Locating e-resources: How to search for and discover e-books, theses, and dissertations across the library’s various online platforms and databases.
- Accessing materials: Step-by-step guidance on logging in, downloading, and using online resources both on and off campus.
- Reading and interacting with content: Tips for using e-book readers, PDF tools, and annotation features to improve comprehension and retention.
- Maximising advanced features: Using search filters, subject categories, and alert systems to stay up to date with new academic materials in your field.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to efficiently locate, access, and manage scholarly materials, making their research process faster, more organised, and more effective.
